This is information, not medical advice

Everything published on Perimae is general information about perimenopause and menopause. It is not medical advice, it is not a diagnosis, and it is not a substitute for seeing your GP or another qualified clinician who can consider your own history and circumstances.

Do not delay seeking medical advice, or disregard advice you have been given, because of something you read here. If your symptoms are severe or suddenly worse, seek help the same day. In an emergency, call 999 or go to A&E.

Accuracy

Articles are written against a published editorial standard: every factual claim traceable to a named source, numbers looked up rather than recalled, and uncertainty stated where it exists. Each article shows when it was published, when it was last edited, and when its evidence was last checked.

Clinical guidance changes. An article that was accurate when written may not be current when you read it, which is why the dates are on the page. If you spot an error, tell us at hello@perimae.com — corrections of substance are noted in the article rather than made quietly.

Links to other sites

Articles link out to sources — NICE, the NHS, published research and similar. Those sites are not ours and we are not responsible for their content or their availability. A link is a citation, not an endorsement of everything else on the site it points to.

The writing, design and code on this site belong to Perimae. You are welcome to quote a short passage with a link back, and to print the nutrition planner and pass it on. Republishing whole articles, or using the content to train a commercial model, requires written permission.

The email list

Joining is entirely voluntary and leaving takes one click, at the bottom of every email. What we do with your address is set out in the privacy policy.

Liability

Perimae is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we accept no liability for any loss arising from acting on information published here. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.

Changes

If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them.
